Fall Color Tour 2013
Mother Nature didn't get the memo about the
Fall Color Tour, as some parts of the state were drenched with chilly
rain on October 20th. Still, several members of the BMW Club of
Battle Creek, the West Michigan BMW Riders, the
MidMichigan Touring Club, the Saginaw Valley club and the BMW
Touring Club of Detroit attended this 4th Annual Event.
Riders made their way from their home cities
along mile after mile of spectacular fall scenery. It was great
to get together with riders from other clubs. We look forward to
participating in this event next year. It would be great to have
more joint events in 2014!
Thanks to Bill H. and the West Michigan BMW
Riders for organizing this event again this year.
If you missed the campout at Camp Fort Hill,
you missed a fantastic weekend of fun, friends and feasting.
Connie organized fabulous meals, Marcie planned and judged a
camp-themed scavenger hunt and friends gathered around the fire.
Unlike Campout 2012, we enjoyed warm weather and a glimpse of the
early fall color changes just beginning to emerge.
Girlz Ride 2013
80% of BMW Women Riders were on hand September
21st for the First Annual Girlz Ride to Shipshewana.
We enjoyed the company of a few gentlemen who accompanied
wives or escorted their pillian partners. The ride from Battle
Creek to Shipshewana along lightly traveled roads was enjoyed by all.
We explored the shops and visited the cheese shop on the way to dinner
at Essenhaus in Middlebury.
Planning for the 2nd Annual Girls Ride for 2014
is under way. Let Tracy know if you have ideas for next year's
Club members travelled to Cinci in August for a
joint gathering with the BMW Club of Cinncinati. The theme
of the festivites was "Joni Loves Chachi" after the famed TV series.
Those in attendance sported period specific costumes and had a great
time. Even the neighbors joined in.
Thanks to Tom and Joni for hosting this fun
The 18th Annual
Vintage Motorcycle Show & Swap Meet

Despite predictions of rain, the day dawned
warm and beautiful. The Gilmore Car Museum provided a perfect
setting to showcase a wide range of vintage motorcycles and scooters.
And if the bikes weren't enough, guests were
treated to an opportunity to wander through building after building
full of automobile history.
In case you missed it, you can enjoy a few of
the snapshots below by club members Jim & Tracy Sisco, and a
walk-about video prepared by club member, Tom Raybuck.
